The winner of the Janome DC 3050 from Creative Sewing Design for Project Linus, 2005 is Lois Dykton.

Lois has a Janome MC9000 and one of her first projects was to embroidery a baby bib for a Granddaughter's Christening. She began making quilts and crocheting a blanket last year after Project Linus in 2004 so she would be ready for 2005. This lady does plan ahead!

CONGRATULATIONS, LOIS!

This toaster cover was embroidered on pre-quilted muslin on the MC10001 with the rooster and hen from Cactus Punch.

The daisies are from the Janome Memory Card Farm Designs #112 and the Card Reader was used to transfer designs to the MC10001. The designs were combined on the Edit screen and positioned to create the scene.

A farm animal print for the binding completes the theme. Project worked by Elberta Wolfe.

The towel holder was made from the same pre-quilted fabric as the toaster cover. Checkerboard design on the tab is stitch #21 on the MC6500Professional. The tea towel and holder designs are from the Janome Appliqué Collection, Afternoon Brew. The towel is detachable for washing. Work completed by Elberta Wolfe.

The linen hemstitched towel is a variation of
a designer towel seen on the web for purchase.
This was made for about a fourth of the cost.

The sassy rooster is from Cactus Punch
and the sunflowers are a built-in design on
the Janome 300E and the MC9500.   Embroidery
done on the MC10001 and the 300E by Elberta Wolfe.

Joanne Agnew worked for Creative Sewing Design until last fall when she moved back to her home town of Wichita KS. She has several Janome machines and begins her projects early in the year for birthdays and Christmas.

These small framed needlework pieces were created on the MC10000 v.3.0. The perfection of Janome cross stitched designs looks like hand work and is elegant in any setting.

Afternoon tea is a pleasure with this Oriental Tea cloth and napkins with the designs taken from the new Janome Appliqué Series for the MC10000 machines.  The appliqué fabric for the background bamboo was a tone on tone fabric in beiges and the fabric for the tea set was a crackle white giving it an antique appearance.  The cloth and napkins was a cotton/rayon fabric which fringed easily.  A decorative stitch finishes the edges.  Project embroidered by Elberta Wolfe.

Four Hour Bedspread!  No piping, just seams and, of course, made on the Compulock and the hem by the MC9K.  Work done by Joanne Agnew.
